Tia Xia is a multidisciplinary artist born in Southwest China and currently based in Los Angeles. Her practice is informed by her upbringing—raised amidst lush natural surroundings yet shaped by complex family dynamics. This background has fostered an inclination to explore the subtle intricacies of the human condition through the metaphorical language of nature. Tia’s work probes the essence of life: its vibrant energy, persistent struggles, and elusive ideals. Tia’s work is held in private collections internationally, most notably at Soho House West Hollywood. She holds a BA in Advertising from Sichuan University and an MFA in Fine Arts from Otis College of Art and Design.
