Saed Osman
Saed Osman is a Los Angeles-based artist originally from Lebanon. His work is a fusion of classical paintings and urban expressionism, inspired by the raw beauty of city walls and street art. This blend challenges traditional fine art norms, making art accessible and deeply connected to everyday life.
His debut series, “The Ordinary”, draws on the similarities and disparities of people, places, and things. It turns ordinary subjects into extraordinary, exploring the beautiful complexities of the human experience.
Born in the U.S. but raised in the Middle East, his work is informed by a unique perspective that blends Middle Eastern and Western influences. As a Lebanese artist, Saed feels a profound responsibility to share the richness of his heritage. Between LA and Beirut, the raw energy of street art and graffiti has been his endless inspiration.
Los Angeles has been Saed’s creative anchor since his undergraduate days at UCLA. After his time at UCLA, he pursued a master’s degree at Stanford but was drawn back to L.A. to continue his artistic journey.
His goal as an artist is to push the boundaries of traditional art forms and create work that is both visually striking and intellectually stimulating. Through his exploration of urbanism, he initiates conversations about how we, as a society, define normalcy and seeks to challenge our assumptions about identity, reality, and perception.
