Jessie Jacobellis
Born in Hartford CT in 1990, Jesse Jacobellis grew up in a colonial home in the small town of Windsor CT. Jesse's mother had a love of historic motifs and folk art. His childhood home was filled with folk art and historical relics and replicas from colonial America.
Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s Jesse drew a huge influence from the historic environment in which he lived along with radical pop culture of the time. Folk art lending a handmade charm and muted color pallets, mixed with electric color pallets of 90s and 2000s cartoons. His mother's love of small nick nacks that littered his childhood home influences his obsession with filling every space on his canvas and corrupting his characters with life forms and structural pieces meant to mimic and reimagine systems and life within ourselves.
Jesse has been an exhibiting artist for over 16 years having exhibitions all over the US and an international show in Japan. He is a painter illustrator, game designer, cartoonist and music producer. Looking forward Jesse hopes to one day direct movies and work on movie soundtracks.
