Christian Mori Stella
Mori was born and raised in LA, although he spent his infancy to about my 8 years of his childhood in Peru. His goal as an artist is to depict things he observes that hold some kind of meaning in his subconscious. To portray them in picture form through a melancholic post romantic/wax poetic format. He tends to cater to people who have similar perceptions, but all are welcome to perceive. As of now he is trying to find a new way to transcribe his vision into a different format. He thanks you for your time and consideration.
Exhibition Description
The collection exhibited at DOMA included some darker themes and characterizations in abstract paintings. with some pieces reminiscent of blot tests and watercolors, the pieces did feel like they might pop of the page. A animal set with a cat and a bat, and multiple pieces that were just black and white with skeleton arms, and tentacles. Following this artist, I expect to find more dark, yet insightful pieces that offer highlights on darker ideas and moments.
