Chantel Spring Chua

Hello there! I'm a California-based wildlife and landscape photographer who spends far too much time chasing good light, extremely skittish birds, and the next great adventure. Whenever I can, I travel in search of new landscapes and wildlife, always hoping to find my next lifer or simply experience a place I've never seen before. My goal is to create photographs that feel more like paintings than snapshots, inviting people to slow down, look closer, and connect with the beauty that's often hiding in plain sight. I hope these images help inspire you to see nature a little differently.

Exhibition Description

I call this collection The Painted Lens because I've always been drawn to photographs that feel more like paintings than snapshots. Whether I'm standing in a marsh waiting for a bird to appear or watching the light change over a landscape, I'm looking for moments that evoke emotion through light, color, and atmosphere. My hope is that these images encourage you to pause, take a closer look, and experience the natural world the way I do, one quiet moment at a time.
